The Magickal Properties of Gemstones

Magnetite

Magnetite helps to align the chakras, dispel grief and helps bring energies which foster healthy spiritual growth. It helps with grounding and connecting with the earth, and brings stability and endurance. It can be used in manifesting magicks, to bring the object of desire closer. Recent studies have also found that wearing magnets can attract the iron within blood, which increases blood circulation. This returns the blood to the lungs faster, thereby allowing more oxygen in the bloodstream and increasing natural healing. When placed over injury sites, the magnets stimulate the flow of nutrient-rich blood to the site which promotes healing and helps to flush out biochemical waste products. Additionally, the magnets speed endorphins through the body, offering a relief for chronic pain and chronic fatigue. Although I personally am just beginning my exploration with bio-magnetics, and cannot yet vouch for their properties from personal experience, I am very intrigued.

Malachite

This powerful healing stone works to heal the heart as well as the body. It is further used for money, love and for centering and balancing. It enhances our ability to nurture all Life. Use it to manifest prosperity into your life and to open your heart to others. Malachite is one of the few stones that can be used to clear and activate all Chakras. It has wonderful healing properties, and because of the high copper content of the stone it has a very steady pulsing electromagnetic energy field. It absorbs negative energy from the auric field cleansing it, thus balancing the wearer and protecting them from the effects negative energies. It is great for increasing ones concentration skills and is quite beneficial to ones physical, as well as psychic, vision. Malachite helps to find a balanced path between the desires of ego and of our higher Will, aiding us in removing blockages and inspiring us with ideas which will help to manifest those goals.

Moldavite

This very high frequency meteorite is a stone of great transformation. It catalyzes change, bringing catharsis, growth and changes. Be aware that if these things are not what you desire, you may wish to find a gentler teacher. Moldavite stimulates connection to the stars and opens the heart to the Universal All. It powerfully stimulates the psychic senses, providing expanded mental vision, It assists in meditation, and in aligning self to Higher Purpose. This stone is especially enhanced by setting it in gold. Moldavite can cause some wearers to feel a bit spacey.

Moonstone

Invoking the feminine Goddess energy of the waxing and full Moon, has a reflective, calming energy. It helps to strengthen intuition and psychic perception and brings balance and harmony with the All. It is said to have the power to grant wishes.

Morion Quartz

A sister to smokey quartz, this very rare black quartz is formed through natural radiation, from growing near uranium deposits. Morion itself is not radioactive and is safe to carry. When exposed to light for extended time they fade from black to grey. "Morions" were a type of helmet used around the time of the Conquistadors, which speaks to the stone's protective and shielding qualities. They are useful in shadow work, helping the wearer to face the dark aspects of self and to release obstacles. They are grounding and aid in coping with grief. Morion can be used to bring connection with the "darker" faces of the deity, such as the Crone and Hunter archetypes.

Moss Agate

Holding this gentle and nurturing stone makes me think of sunlignt dappling through the leaves and the scents of loam and fresh moss. It balances the emotions, heals to the heart and brings a positive outlook. Moss agate can also be used to enhance plant growth and to grow prosperity, manifesting wealth and abundance into your life.
